From that time I went to see MCR

LOOKY WHAT I FOUND!

t-shirt: made by me, jeggings: abercrombie, boots: doc martens, cardigan: american apparel, bandeau: urban outfitters

In March I went to see My Chemical Romance with the Architects and Neon Trees in New York City. The show was great but some extenuating circumstances made it a pretty lame day and I ended up (regrettably) leaving early. Neon Trees were AMAZING and it was a lot of fun to get dressed up and Kill Joy-esque.

I made this shirt the night before the show. It was definitely just a teensy bit inspired by my obsession with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. What? I like it, don't judge me.

I also had fresh undercuts for the occasion. Looking at this picture, I miss them, but I WILL NOT shave them again. I will be strong and I will continue to grow out my hair. Also, DAMN my bangs look perfect in this picture.

And of course, my Docs. I need new laces for them, this ribbon is getting ratty and I'm over it.

Hope you enjoyed this blast from the recent past.

Beautiful Shoes I Couldn't Afford

So I was in Nordstrom the other day with Max and we had nothing to do, so I decided to try on some shoes.

Bad plan, Ciaran.

I tried on the last size nines of these that they had in stock. They fit like a dream, I could actually walk in them, and LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY ARE! In case you're new to my blog, I clearly love Jeffrey Campbell shoes, and the Lita boots are pretty much the ultimate for me. I fell in love and it's a damn shame because I AM BROKE. So if anyone feels like lending me $160...I wouldn't say no.

OH AND THEN THERE WERE THESE:

Beautiful, but they did not come in my size. But I mean, come on:

Some please give me a job. Please. I'll do anything. JUST PAY ME IN SHOES.

Grad Party Gothabilly

dress: thirfted, sash: american apparel, shoes: Toms

This is what I wore to my good friend's HS graduation party on Sunday. Got this dress a few weeks ago at the Goodwill. I bought it without even trying it on, I knew I needed it, haha. I look a bit of a mess in these pictures but I really liked the outfit. Soon you'll get to see my victory rolls too, hopefully. I've been working on my rockabilly cred.

The ring I have on was a gift from my 10th grade boyfriend that I hadn't worn until now. I like it, so I don't really know why I hadn't. You'll probably get to meet Max soon, actually, since he dresses well and therefore may be allowed to appear as a guest on le blog.

Going to this grad party is part of a chain of weirdness in which I'm realizing that I'm old. I turn twenty in October and am kind of freaking out about it. More about that later though, I suppose.

Well, enjoy. Have a lovely day!

Yes, I use a lot of McQueen as my inspiration, haha. My articles are a series of 5 tips on ways to incorporate kind of out there trends into your every day look. I enjoy it. You probably will too!

I Can't Think of a Clever Title!

top: forever 21, bralet: forever 21, shorts: american eagle, shoes: toms

This necklace was a gift but you can get them pretty much anywhere. I am choosing to wear mine as a bow tie because 1. I love octopi, 2. I love bow ties, and 3. I do not have a real bow tie. Yet.

Also, sweet new nail digs. This is a new Finger Paints polish in Art You Wondering? I'm pretty sure it's from their new collection and is exclusively available at Sally Beauty (aka HEAVEN). I like it because it reminds me of a mermaid. I'm crazy. Anywayyyy.

My babies are dying. I got these Toms at the beginning of last summer. Now look at them. That's a lot of love right there. And my big toe.

And here I am in this sweet chair that my dad was given for his retirement or whatever as chair of the Rutgers University Alumni Association. He's kind of a big deal.

I'm off to mall and stuff now, later I'll probably be blogging about the ones that got away, aka a beautiful pair of Jeffrey Campells that were ON MY FEET but out of my price range. Still crying, can you tell?

Have a wonderful day, loverlies!

Ciaran and Sydney go to a Baby Shower

MEET MY SISTER!
dress: forever 21, shoes: urban outfitters, cardigan: american apparel

This is my older sister, Sydney. We went with our mom (who refuses to be photographed) to our Aunt Leslie's baby shower. Apparently my sister liked me today, because she agreed to be on my blog.
Here, she is asking me why I have pink on my eyes like that. It's iridescent, she wouldn't understand.

Oh and also, CHECK OUT THIS BANGIN' DRESS.

I got it a little while ago and have been meaning to blog about it...
It is so nice and spring-y. I wear it as often as humanly possible, though since I got home I've been pretty much a shorts and a tee shirt kind of a gal. But hey, give me an excuse to dress up and I am a happy blogger.

Hot new thang, accessorizing with bones:

And dogs:

I'm holding Cooper, she's holding Maxine (who is my baby). Oh, and Syd's dress is from F21 as well.
