shirt: jc penney's, skirt: h&m, cardigan: old navy, shoes: good will, collar: mom's old shirt

Today is my best friend Mary's birthday! She's super cool and shit. And this is my outfit today. I wanted to wear my cardigan today cause I put these pins on it, which you will see up close down further in this post. One is a queer support triangle, and the other reads "RIOT GRRRL". I was kind of going for riot grrrl librarian steez. So, yeah.

My sweet pins.

Also, I rebuzzed my undercuts. They're pretty rad, I think. I enjoy having the hair of a carousel horse.

They Really Want You They Really Want You and I Do Too

dress: forever21, jacket: calvin klein, socks: forever21, boots: doc martens, backpack: viv pickle

It is absolutely beautiful outside so I decided to utilize the new dress I bought yesterday and channel Courtney Love. This dress is really short but I don't even care, I can show off my legs if I feel like it.

Also, purple bangs and very very dark brown hair. I dig it, actually.

Have a great day, loves, enjoy the northeast weather.

Happy Effing Valentine's Day

body suit: forever21, skirt: thrifted, socks: ?, shoes: thrifted, necklace: frankenstein necklace...

Today, as you probably know, is Valentine's Day. So, naturally, I decided to dress like a witch of sorts. It's also really nice out, so I'm gracing you all with the blinding whiteness that is my legs. Soon I'll have to do a post in a crop top (I've been wearing them lately to spite the snow) and you can see the even more blinding whiteness that is the bit of my stomach visible.

This is my wand. I whittled that shit myself. Ron Weasley is my valentine.

Happy Effing Valentines Day, readers. Go forth and smash the patriarchy.

This One's for Kaela.

shirt: old navy, skirt: h&m, tights and socks: i forget, shoes: dsw

This is the outfit I wore yesterday but was too lazy/busy to get around to posting. The story behind the title is the story behind the outfit too. Yesterday was the anniversary of the death of a young girl I went to school with who's family has meant a lot to me over the years. While no one who didn't know Kae or who didn't go to my high school would have understood, I honored her memory, as has become an annual tradition, by wearing her favorite color and mine, purple. My bright purple legs looked like nothing more than a fashion statement to the people who saw me, but the tights were for Kaela.

Have a good day, readers, whoever you are. <3

Now and Then Appreciation Post

Growing up, I always loved the movie Now and Then, and it's still a movie I can never get enough of. This is because 1. it's a great movie, 2. Thora Birch and Christina Ricci, 3. Janeane Garofalo, 4. Devon Sawa, and 5. it's a great movie. Also, though it's not my usual jams, the fashion is pretty amazing. So, please enjoy a montage thrown together using weheartit.com (it's evil, I know, but so useful) of the cast of Now and Then.

(please note Teeny's (Thora Birch) shorts. and now please give them to me.)

Gettin' up with Johnny Cupcakes in Boston

shirt: johnny cupcakes, skirt: h&m, tights: unknown, socks: macy's, shoes: doc martens, cardigan: aa, bra: forever 21

So waking up today and not wanting to get dressed turned into an outfit I actually quite like. Instead of doing my laundry I have turned to reinventing clothes I don't wear often, like cutting this Johnny Cupcakes shirt into a tank top. Way easy and it gives me a new option when I'm running out of clean clothes. Yes, I am a lazy mess. No, I do not care.

pocket watch necklace: forever 21, long chain: unknown, lock and key: homemade (from a diary lock and old chain)

I gotta do my nails and trim my bangs, but other than that, not too shabby.
